In partnership with Wide Awake Films we created The 29th Connecticut which tells the story of our state's all African-American Civil War Regiment.
11 brave men from Berlin were among over 1,700 from across the state who fought in the Civil War and helped secure victory for the Union Army.
Our documentary won Best Connecticut Film at the 2023 Mystic Film Festival and has also appeared in The Nyack International Film Festival, The Tiny Abolitionist Festival and was a Best Documentary Short Nominee at the New Bedford Film Festival.
We're the Berlin Equity Action Team whose mission is to support Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in our hometown of Berlin Connecticut
We do this by creating teachable moments with residents of our community and connecting with our neighbors
We're raising $250,000 to help add Berlin to the Connecticut Freedom Trail and refurbish the Worthington Ridge Meeting House. We’d like to create a Berlin During The Civil War Exhibit that will tell the story of our soldiers.
PLEASE help us tell their story!
We're Graduates of our town's Dismantled Social Justice & Equity Committee and are continuing its work.
We created and funded
Berlin's Inaugural Juneteenth Celebration
in 2022 out of our own pockets
We've partnered with our local Historical Society and Library to expand our programming and bring a spotlight on the Diversity Stories and Initiatives in one of Connecticut's least diverse towns.
